Manitou Springs is home to the famous Manitou Incline and Barr Trail, trails that take hikers to a beautiful scenic overlook a mile above the city. Downtown Manitou Springs is a great place to walk around and explore with a combination of historic sites and modern health restaurants. The city gets a lot of foot traffic from people doing the Incline, meaning there is always something new and exciting going on regardless of the season. On the outskirts of the city residents can also visit the historic Manitou Cliff Dwellings and Cave of the Winds Mountain Park. This area is served by School District 14 (Manitou Springs).
