POWERS CORRIDOR

Like most urban areas, Colorado Springs is expanding outwards and much of the new development has occurred on the eastern edge of town. 20 years ago, Powers Blvd was a small, 2-lane road locals used to bypass the traffic lights on Academy Blvd. Now, the Powers corridor is a thriving community with new hospitals, schools, shopping centers and residential areas.

Communities west of Powers are generally 20-30 years old and are more established, while neighborhoods east of Powers are typically 10 years newer. Homes in this area are centrally located to just about everything and provide a super easy commute to both Peterson AFB to the south, and Schriever AFB to the southeast.

Neighborhoods west of Powers are primarily served by District 11 (Colorado Springs), and homes east of Powers are generally located in District 49 (Falcon).
